Online Payments

The University accepts both e-checks and credit card payments online through UI-Pay.

                  

An e-check is an electronic withdrawal from a checking or savings account at a domestic (U.S.) bank account. Individuals who wish to write e-checks against another type of account (credit card, home equity line of credit, money market account, mutual fund, etc.), must contact their financial institution to verify that electronic checks can be written against that account.

Information you will need to pay by e-check:

• 9-digit bank routing number. If your financial institution has domestic and international routing numbers, enter the domestic routing number when making an e-check payment. 
• U.S bank account number (NOT the number on your debit card)

If you do not know your bank routing and/or account number, contact your financial institution.

Credit cards accepted for payment are MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. All credit card transactions will be assessed a non-refundable 2.5% service fee. The service fee will appear as a separate charge on your credit card statement and two payment transactions will appear on your UI-Pay account Payment History.

Making an Online Payment

 

Payments by Mail

Payment should be mailed at least five business days prior to the due date to allow for mail delivery and processing time.

Scholarship checks should NOT be mailed to this address. To ensure proper credit to UI-Pay accounts, please direct all scholarship payment checks to the financial aid office on the recipient's campus of attendance. Visit the Scholarship Payments section of our website for details.

The student name and University Identification Number (UIN) must be written on the check. A printed copy of the payment stub must be included to ensure proper credit. Checks should be made payable to the University of Illinois and mailed to the following location:

International Wire Transfer Payments

University of Illinois has partnered with Flywire™ and PayMyTuition to offer an innovative and streamlined way to make international tuition payments.

To make an international wire payment, log into UI-Pay, follow the login instructions for your campus, then select "Student Account", then select "View & Pay Accounts", then select the "Make Payment" icon.
